Sugar Cookies
My momma’s crispy sugar cookies. They are light, airy, and crispy. They melt in your mouth.

- 227 g butter (1 c)
- 240 g vegetable oil (1 c)
- 200 g sugar (1 c)
- 125 g powdered sugar (1 c)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- 520 g flour (4 c)
Instructions
- Cream together first 4 ingredients (butter or margarine, veg. oil, sugar & powdered sugar).
- Add vanilla, eggs, salt, baking soda, cream of tartar & flour to creamed ingredients.
- Roll in balls, then in additional sugar.
- Press lightly onto greased pan.
- Bake 10-12 mins at 375° F / 190° C
