Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Don’t be fooled. This recipe will turn any oatmeal raisin cookie skeptic into a fanatic. Trust me. It’s been done. They’re that good.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 225 g butter, softened (1/2 lb / 1c)
  • 200 g brown sugar (1 c)
  • 100 g sugar (1/2 c)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 200 g flour (1 1/2 c)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 255 g old fashioned oats (3 c)
  • 160 g golden raisins (1 c)
  • 1/21 c Sunflower seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F / 176° C
  2. Combine/whisk together: flour, baking soda, cinnamon & salt. Set aside.
  3. Beat butter + sugars until creamy.
  4. Add eggs + vanilla. Beat well.
  5. Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon + salt. Mix well.
  6. Stir in oats + raisins + sunflower seeds. Mix well.
  7. Optional: To prevent spreading, chill dough 30 mins.
  8. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  9. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool on cookie sheet 5 minutes, and transfer to cooling racks.
