Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Don’t be fooled. This recipe will turn any oatmeal raisin cookie skeptic into a fanatic. Trust me. It’s been done. They’re that good.

- 225 g butter, softened (1/2 lb / 1c)
- 200 g brown sugar (1 c)
- 100 g sugar (1/2 c)
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 200 g flour (1 1/2 c)
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 255 g old fashioned oats (3 c)
- 160 g golden raisins (1 c)
- 1/2 – 1 c Sunflower seeds
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° F / 176° C
- Combine/whisk together: flour, baking soda, cinnamon & salt. Set aside.
- Beat butter + sugars until creamy.
- Add eggs + vanilla. Beat well.
- Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon + salt. Mix well.
- Stir in oats + raisins + sunflower seeds. Mix well.
- Optional: To prevent spreading, chill dough 30 mins.
- Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool on cookie sheet 5 minutes, and transfer to cooling racks.
